FACILITIES & SERVICES
LIBRARY
Dedicated to Late Shri Ilam Singh, the school library is well stocked including a special reference section. Fresh titles are added, on a regular basis. The library subscribes to a wide range of magazines, journals and dailies. Students are advised to develop habit of reading and make the best use of library.
LABS
The school has separate labs of Physics, Chemistry, Biology. These are fully equipped and updated. During practicals in Chemistry and Biology, it is compulsory to wear white aprons and follow safety rules.
IT CENTRE
The school IT Centre has one elaborated lab with PCs under Local Area Network (LAN). The school expects every student to be computer enabled. Thus computer Education is imparted to students from class I onwards. The computer curriculum is activity-based and is organized in such a way that the child has familiarity with software and computer languages.
Note : To impart Computer Education the academy has tied up with NIIT.
FIRST AID
The school has first aid facility to attend the students for any minor injury/sickness. Health awareness programme are conducted from time to time. Parents are requested to let the school know about the health problems of their wards from a more effective follow-up. Parents are requested to submit the "Health Card" to be issued separately by the school duly filled in a by a physician/registered medical practitioner to the class teacher.
COUNSELLING CELL
It offers its services to the students for achieving personal growth and provides individual as well, as group counselling. It conducts aptitude tests and organizes career talks and seminars with the help of experts. It updates the students with information regarding higher studies, admission procedures, etc. Students particularly those in higher classes are advised to make the best use of these services.
SOCIALLY USEFUL PRODUCTIVE WORK (S.U.P.W)
S.U.P.W is the third dimension of education. It develops skills and productivity. Students are required to choose any one of the activities (music, dance, and computer) every year. 'Grading System' is followed in its evaluation. No change in the activity will be permitted during the current academic session.
HOUSE SYSTEM
Students are grouped under four Houses namely Bhagat, shastri, Patel, Vivekananda. A students is allotted a House at the time of admission. The school organizes various activities and events at Inter-house level for creating healthy competition and inculcating leadership.
TOURS AND FIELD TRIPS
Field trips and education tours are organized as part of school activities. Children of primary classes are taken for picnics. Students are expected to take part in these tours and field trips as they form an integral part of learning.
CELEBRATIONS/FESTIVALS
The School celebrated various special occasions and festivals. This help the students to understand our composite culture and appreciate the concept of unity in diversity. These celebrations are organizes in different forms such as special assembly, theme based culture programmes, etc.
TRANSPORT
The school plies buses transport agencies for the convenience of the students. Those travelling by bus must carry the pass issued by the school regularly. In view of the terrible traffic congestion during the recent years and the risk it involves, parents are sincerely advised to make use of school bus facility.
