There is an African proverb that states "It takes a whole village to raise a child". As we inhabit an ever-increasingly complex world, this sentiment becomes more important if we want our students to be respected and successful citizens in an ever-changing society. At C.I.S. Academy, Satwai, I believe that our foundation years demonstrate our commitment to being "well" in a village of support for young people, and therefore, this last newsletter for 2022-23 is about saying a well-deserved thanks to you all our villagers' and the students, well done for your efforts in the classroom, as school representatives in a variety of teams and competitions, and as volunteers in a range of endeavors. Throughout the year, students were recognized for their efforts through the award processes.

I appreciate the opportunity that these events give me to not only recognize the academic achievers but also those students who have striven to do their best consistently throughout the year. They all are champions for me atleast.

To our parents, thank you for your support to school, so that we embody the ideal of being a collaborative learning community. I look forward to build more strong relationships with all of you in the year ahead and will provide you with consistent opportunities to be engaged with our learning direction. And of course, thank you to our staff who have not only provided a quality learning environment but also given up their time to offer students a range of activities outside the classroom curriculum.

I wish everyone a safe and happy holiday break and will see you in 2023, ready to engage in another exciting learning adventure together.
