GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS

The school believes in discipline and firmness. Slackness, disobedience and disregard to rules will not be tolerated. In light of common sense or of good manners, any work or action likely to lower the image of the school is regarded as a breach of school discipline. The school reserves the right to expel students whose diligence or the progress in studies is considered unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to other students. Immorality, insubordination or contempt of authority and breaking bounds are always sufficient reasons for immediate expulsion or rustication.

  1. Parents are required not to enter the classroom to see their child or teacher during class hours without the permission of the principal.

  2. They are required to inform the school if there is any change in their Address/ Telephone number/Email-ID.

  3. Leave for half day should not be asked for security reasons. In emergency, written permission must be taken from the principal and the class teacher should be informed and the child will be handed over to the parents only.

  4. All leave applications should be sent in advance before proceeding on leave.

  5. Applications should be addressed to the principal through the class teacher.

  6. Children, suffering from any infectious disease should not be sent to school till full recovery occurs.

  7. Parent's attention is drawn to the fact that criticism of the teacher or school in the presence of the students should be scrupulously avoided because it causes the student to lose respect for their teacher with the consequent failure to them and will retard his/her progress.

  8. Should there be any legitimate complaint, please see the principal at once or write a separate letter addressed to him. He will look into this matter personally.

  9. Any communication made by the parents/guardians should be addressed to the principal through the class teacher.

  10. Parents should sign the progress report and acknowledge the same to the school within three days. If the report card is lost, a replacement will be made only after a payment of Rs. 50/-.

  11. The name, admission no., class, section and House of the pupil should be clearly marked on the belongings of the student e.g. blazers, ties, jerseys, pants and shirts.

  12. Parents are required to co-operate with the school in its attempt to help their children's progress by paying attention to their regularity, punctuality & discipline and by taking interest in their children's work. They should check the almanac every day and note the homework and other instructions given.

  13. Care must be taken of all school property. If any damage is done, it will be made good by the concerned student together with a fine imposed for the offence.

  14. In case of any complaint or if your ward is not showing the desired progress, you should meet the principal at the earliest or write to him/her personally well in time.

  15. Participation in educational tours, camps, excursions, seminars and all kinds of extra-curricular activities organized by the school brings about an overall development in the personality of the child. Parents are requested to encourage such participation of their ward(s).

  16. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles like expensive watches, fountain pens, i-pods, calculators, mobile phones and jewelry to school and once found they will be confiscated. In case of any loss, the school will not be responsible.

  17. The wards of those parents who avoid meeting the school authorities when advised to do so, may not be allowed to attend the classes.

  18. Parents should consult the school calendar, date sheets and other circulars before making enquiries.

  19. It is compulsory for the student to complete 75% attendance in the year to make him/her eligible to sit for the final examination. Attendance is also compulsory on all national festivals and school functions.

UNDERTAKING

I have read and understood the rules given above in the Almanac. I declare that our ward shall abide by these rules and other rules laid by the School from time and that the same will be binding on my ward.
